Pere Josep Navarro i Maroto és Cap de l’Àrea d’Aprofitaments Fusters i Biomassa, del Centre Tecnològic Forestal de Catalunya. És Tècnic Superior en Gestió i Organització dels Recursos Naturals i Paisatgístics (EFA-La Malvasía, València); Enginyer Tècnic Forestal esp. Explotacions Forestals (EPSG-UPV, València) i Enginyer de Forests (ETSEA-UDL, Lleida). Postgraduat en Sistemes d’Informació Geogràfica (Facultat de Geografia-UDL, Lleida). En aquests moments està acabant el Màster en Productes i Sistemes Forestals (ETSEA-UDL, Lleida)
Ha desenvolupat experiència en les operacions forestals (aprofitaments), estudis forestals i estudis de mercat i ha treballat en el seguiment dels aprofitaments forestals, la prospecció dels mercats de la fusta i la xarxa de camins i vies forestals. També està involucrat en altres biomasses llenyoses per al compostatge i activitats en la bioenergia. És cotutor de projectes final de carrera.

Pere Josep Navarro i Maroto is the head of the Department of Forest Harvesting, Wood Mobilization and Biomass of the Forest Sciences Center of Catalonia. Mr. Navarro has the following degrees: Master’s course in Management and Organizations of the Natural and Landscape Resources (EFA-La Malvasía, Valencia); Forestry Production Technical Engineer (EPSG-UPV, Valencia) and Forestry (ETSEA-UDL, Lleida). Postgraduate Studies in Geographic Information Systems (Faculty of Geography-UDL, Lleida). He is attending Forest Products and Systems (ETSEA-UDL, Lleida)
He has work experience in Forest Harvesting, Forest and market studies, Forest bioenergy and biomass composting. He is mentor of final projects at university.
